Community Outreach

In addition to its education initiatives, FFRD enjoys the support of many prominent community groups and members. We also reach out to the community working with local schools to develop awareness of the historical significance of our area. The links to the left offer greater detail on the bonds we share with the local community.

As part of an education initiative geared toward younger learner, FFRD has teamed with art students at Archmere Academy to create an activity book. This outreach and education effort was featured in the Crossroads section of the News Journal on March 15, 2102. You can download the article for viewing HERE.

FFRD has enjoyed a number of distinguished visitors to the district including ING Direct COO, Jim Kelly, the B & O RR Historical Society on Oct 22, 2010, and the National RR Historical Society on Oct 29, 2011
