Educational Resources

FFRD is proud to focus on educating school age children and the general public on the valuable history of the Furness Railroad District. The result of our efforts is three comprehensive lessons that focus on the importance of railroads in America's industrilization, the unique architectural influences of railroad stations, and the historical and cultural impact of railways.

All three lessons and their associated graphical content are provided free of charge by FFRD. Lessons may be adapted for grades 3 through 6 and fit nicely into any history curriculum on industrilization of the United States and the importance of railroads.
